Passive or static fire exit signage can result in bottlenecks during an evacuation and worst case, can actually lead people towards a hazard. EvacLite’ exit signs are further enhanced with an adaptive ‘red cross’ which activates upon receiving a signal from a connected Fire Panel.

WHAT NORMALLY OCCURS DURING AN EVACUATION?

In conversations with hoteliers it was widely accepted that during an evacuation of the hotel, guests generally had not taken the time to read the escape route plan on the bedroom door and would exit the same way that they came in.

Consequently this leads to congestion and slows down the whole evacuation process, whilst other viable exits remain virtually unused. This can skew previously set evacuation target times had all exits been ultilised. With today’s live social media reporting by guests, it was apparent that when evacuations go wrong, its Tweeted or Shared for all the world to see in an instant.

DYNAMIC EVACUATION – PROVEN & TESTED TO BE MORE EFFICIENT*

EvacLite’s exit signs only become “dynamic” during an alarm event. In normal use the signs replicate the “passive/static” emergency signage functionality.

Our dynamic control blade system, which pulses an LED arrow within the arrow part of the sign . The pulsing cycle starts only once the alarm is sounded and returns to
passive mode once the alarm event has been dealt with.

* Developed with a team of leading academics and industry experts. The Evaclite Emergency Exit sign was THE EXIT sign used in the FSEG EU GETAWAY PROJECT

Full scale trials using Evaclite Signage resulted in 2 x faster detection of the Exits and 3 x better decision making as to the correct direction to take towards the nearest exits.

EVACLITE DYNAMIC EMERGENCY EXIT LUMINAIRES CONNECT TO YOUR FIRE PANEL

Evaclite Dynamic Emergency Exit Signs are connected to your emergency lighting circuit ( a simple swap out of the standard passive signs) and then connected to your fire panel via a local input/output device or sounder control unit. Evaclite signs are compatible with XP95 fire alarms systems and any addressable system with the appropriate I/O connection.
